COURSE OUTLINE

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

You must be at least 15yrs of age to participate in the course.

This height safety training course provides the knowledge and skills required to Work Safely at Heights from ground level. This may include work undertaken on domestic and commercial work sites within new construction, renovation or refurbishment, and maintenance.

If you are working in any space where you need to control the risk of falling, the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Heights Safety Systems, this is the course for you!

Please note that minimum numbers for training courses apply. Courses may not proceed if booking numbers are insufficient. We will of course assist with transferring to another date or provide a full refund if that is not suitable.

You will learn how to apply compliance documentation, identify scope and any potential hazards all whilst adhering to OHS requirements relevant to safe working at heights.

You will learn how to select and use the appropriate equipment. How to inspect and install fall protection equipment and also how to install safety systems and appropriate signs and barricades.

You will learn how to accurately and safely fit anchor fall systems by selecting solid and reliable anchorage.

You will learn how to undertake work and the manual handling of equipment safely.

You will learn how to dismantle system, clear the work area and store tools and equipment appropriately.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised and is issued by TraYn Pty Ltd RTO 40883. We will also issue you with a plastic wallet card for ease of verification when you are required to show proof of validity of your training.

This is a one day (approximately 8hrs) face to face training. The course consists of both theory and practical components.

Photo identification is required on the day of training.

We supply all PPE equipment but you are most welcome to bring your own.

Closed footwear is essential.
