COURSE OUTLINE

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

All participants should be at least 18 years of age. Restrictions apply for those under 18 years.

Our EWPA Yellow Card course is for people using or intending to use Scissor Lifts or Boom Lifts below 11 meters. You will be provided with the training required to safely and efficiently use this type of equipment. You will receive theoretical and practical training as part of this training package.

Please note that minimum numbers for training courses apply. Courses may not proceed if booking numbers are insufficient. We will of course assist with transferring to another date or provide a full refund if that is not suitable.

COURSE CONTENT

The EWPA Yellow Card Training course offers comprehensive theoretical and hands on training.  Course participants will gain theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills in the following:

Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls

Fall arrest harness inspection, fitting and use

Identify safe operating parameters using data plate and manual

Conduct pre and post operational checks

Operation of EWP

Emergency procedures

Theory assessment and practical observation and demonstration

Upon successful completion of this course you will have gained the skills required to safely operate the boom and scissor lift machines to a height of 11 metres or below.

You will be issued with a plastic wallet sized EWPA Yellow Card. This card will be sent to you directly from the Elevating Work Platforms of Australia. This card is valid for a 5 year period.

This is a one day (approximately 6hrs) face to face training. The course consists of both theory and practical components.

You must be at least 15yrs of age to participate in this course, however unless you are 18 years of age you will only be issued with a restricted license. Please Contact Us for further information.

Photo identification is required on the day of training.

We supply all PPE equipment but you are most welcome to bring your own.

Closed footwear is essential.

We supply both the Boom and Scissor lift machines, however if you would like to book an onsite training at your organisation we can use your machinery- however conditions apply. Contact Us for additional information.
